Adobe Reader DC spell checker pdf forms

Question

I get PDF form from the county and using Adobe Reader DC "fill and sign" I can add text to the form but I can not spell check when done.

When typing the text the auto spell check is not functioning.

I click edit, check spelling but "check spelling in comments and fields" is not a highlighted option

Going to edit, preferences, spelling I find "check spelling while typing" is checked and instructed in underling in red

As per the issue description mentioned above, spell check doesn't work when filling a form using fill & sign, is that correct?

As far as i know, spell check doesn't work when filling a form using fill & sign as it flattens the pdf restricting text selection in the pdf. You may visit the following forum threads discussing the similar issue:
