Adobe Reader DC Trouble

Hello

Was having trouble with Adobe Reader DC continually asking me to sign in to my account every time I used it (this version remembered to open on Monitor 2). This only started yesterday morning (Australian Eastern Stnd Time). I followed the suggested help and ending up uninstalling Adobe Reader and then reinstalling a fresh copy directly from Adobe. Now when I open a pdf file, it is not remembering what monitor to open and if I sign the first time, it is not remembering that I have already signed in and I need to sign in again (the opposite of my previous problem). I do also have Adobe Acrobat DC which seems to be unaffected by any of this. Running Windows 10 Pro

    Did what you suggested. No change!

    Until it can be fixed, my work around is to leave Reader open on the monitor I need it on and close the document tab as opposed to the program.

    Hi leannh,

    As per the issue description mentioned above, adobe reader does't remember which monitor to open on the machine as well as continually asking you to sign in to your account, is that correct?

    Try following steps given in the following forum thread under "correct answer" and check if that works:

    Also, let us know dot version of reader installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version in reader: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

    No.

    Last week (Friday) Adobe Reader started asking me to login to my Adobe account every time I opened a PDF - the pdf at this stage would open on the correct monitor. I would login but for some reason it wouldn't stayed logged in - it became annoying to keep putting in my password to read a pdf. I searched for solutions but nothing worked so I uninstalled Adobe reader and replaced it with the current version as available on Adobe (version 2019.010.20069).

    With the new install, I logged in to Adobe account when I first opened it - all okay (it seems). But every time I open a pdf since then, I'm not logged into my account nor is it asking me to login (login not holding). And no matter how many times I move the pdf from one monitor to another (using the correct procedure which normally lets you move from one screen to another) it does not remember the monitor it is meant to be on.

    I have never had this much trouble with Adobe. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (version 2019.01.20069 (.49826)) that is operating fine. It's logged in and I can move from monitor to monitor.

    Try following troubleshooting steps:

    1- Download and run cleaner tool on the machine to uninstall reader: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

    2 - Download and install reader from here: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

    3-  Reboot the machine again and check.
