adobe reader dc will not launch ?

help I cannot launch my adobe reader? I need my tax papers and I cannot view any past documents what can I do to fix this problem my system is win7 IE 10 my system showed the last update was april 2019. I'm not real smart when it comes to these issue and it needs to be simple for me to understand,

    Please explain in detail how are you trying to launch Reader and what happens when you try. Knowing which version of Reader you are using would also help to help you.
