Adobe Reader error when downloading a Form (IMM5257E - required for CIC - Canadá)

I received an error when downloading a file viwh the Adobe Reader version 11.0.07.

A message like this appear:

To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer.

What browser are you using to view/download the PDF?  I have no problem opening that form http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5257E.pdf

Note that certain browsers use their own (incompatible) PDF viewers; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

I was using Google Chrome, and did not suspect that this could be the

problem.

I used I.E. and the download worked. So that's it.

Download now OK.

Chrome

  1. In the Chrome address bar, type chrome://plugins.
  2. Disable the Chrome PDF Viewer.
  3. Enable the Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader plug-in.
  4. Close the Plug-ins tab and restart Chrome.
