Adobe Reader insists I have an newer version installed where there's none

I got this weird problem with Adobe Reader. For some reason, even though it's a brand new/freshly installed Windows, says that I have a newer version of the program installed. That's simply impossible, because: 1. There hasn't been any version of this program installed on this PC yet, 2. there is no newer version of the darn program available.

What to do?

I tried looking for anything that could set the installer off... But I found nothing.

The only possibility is Photoshop CS that has been installed before Reader. Could it be that Reader for some reason perceived Photoshop as a newer version of Reader?

Any suggestions/ideas?

No, this isn't the case here. There shouldn't be any contradict because of the previous version of Photoshop installed.
