Adobe Reader installation

I downloaded from https://get.adobe.com/it/reader/otherversions/ the Adobe Reader Xi installer for Mac.It blocked my mac.  Why?This is the offical website? the graphics are so out of date.

Apple made changes in macOS Catalina (version 10.15) and beyond. Apps have to be signed or notarized now or else they won't launch (see this notice and this news).

Reader XI was originally released in October 2012 and hit its End of Life (EOL) date in October 2017.
