- Your install package installed Bloatware for profit installed without permission.

- No notice was given on the digital package.

- No option was provided to remove the install.
- This is a violation of the EU DSA for use of prohibited dark patterns to influence users to make choices they did not intend for a period greater than a year as evidenced by long history and multiple recorded complaints of this specific practice in the past.

- Cease this activity immediately by removing the bloatware from your install package.

- Provide users with adequate assistance to remove bloatware and assure their systems are not further compromised.

- Inform authorities of your violation of the regulations.

No, the website does not provide that option.  Your screenshot is inaccurate, directly opposed to the fact at issue, and misleading.   Please correct it if you do not wish it to be deliberately misleading.

@A Concerned User Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response.

Since the options are showing up at our end, please try resetting the cache and cookies on your browser. Also, you may try using an incognito more tab and check if the options to disable the installation of McAfee shows at your end.

Regards,

Souvik.

Hello,

I hope you are doing well. I am sorry for the trouble.

Whenever you go to the install page, you get the option of whether you want to install McAfee Antivirus or not. You may refer to the below image for reference:

You can click the given link to install the application again and disable the McAfee antivirus download: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Download | Free PDF viewer for Windows, Mac OS, Android

Let me know if this answers your question.

Thanks,

Souvik.
