Adobe Reader on Terminal Server

Hi Community,

We have an issue with Adobe Reader that is running on a Terminal Server (Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Datacenter), when users open PDF's the first one opens without issue. Any subsequent PDF's take a long while to open up.

We have already switched to the old interface of Adobe Reader and made changes to the security settings but the issue still persists. Adobe has also been uninstalled and re-installed on the server.

Your advise in this matter is appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback and reporting issue. We would need some more information from your end to look deeper into the issue and resolve it.

Steps
  1. Close Acrobat/Reader
  2. Download and run Diagnostics utility https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-diagnostics.html
  3. Select Advanced logs>Acrobat process monitor
  4. Select Start Diagnostics.
  5. Now Open Acrobat and reproduce the issue.
  6. Select Stop Monitoring, and share the log ID with us.

Thanks,

Charu Karwa

Hello,

We are experiencing the exact same issue on a terminal server environment (2022) at our customers.
