Yes. All versions of DC have that tool. It's been around a while.

It's not necessarily the sort of thing people remember. To be honest I don't even have a tool called freehand. I suggest you check the exact tool name, because at least then you can Google for it.

Thanks for answering. The correct name for the tool is "Draw Free Form".

I was asked to write a Javascript code that is going to be embedded in a PDF document (a form) which have a section where users will have to draw something.

So why do I need to know the Reader version where this tool was introduced? Because I am going to check the user Reader version to see if he will be able to accomplish the drawing section. Then if his Reader is equal or above version "x" everything is fine so I do nothing, otherwise (if his Reader is earlier than the version "x") then I will pop a message asking to upgrade to latest DC.
