    Hello Craigg,

I am sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader and for the delayed response to your query. From the above description, I can understand that you are not able to launch Adobe Reader installed on the Windows 10 machine, Am I correct?

Please reboot the machine once and locate Adobe Reader icon, right click and select Run as administrator and see if this brings the Adobe Reader application.

Install any pending updates (mandatory + optional) of the operating system from Control Panel>Windows update. Reboot the machine and check.

If you are not able to launch the application, then use Acrobat cleaner tool to remove Adobe Reader from the machine Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Reboot the computer and download Adobe Reader from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Disable any security software for temporary basis before you start the installation of Adobe Reader.

Run the setup as 'Run as administrator'.

Enable the security software once Adobe Reader is installed successfully.

If you still experience any issue, please create a test user profile with full admin rights and install Adobe Reader in compatibility mode. For steps to install Adobe Reader in compatibility mode, please refer to the discussion [HELP] Can't reinstall acrobat reader

Let us know if you experience any issue.

    Thanks,

    Anand Sri.

I'm amazed you got that much. There is no free support for free products, Adobe aren't supposed to chat with you about it. The forums is indeed all there is.

Sad part is that i have a few of their products that i do pay for- this just happens to be an issue with their most basic one on this PC.
