Adobe reader won't do math calculations on a PDF file

Hello, I have a pdf file that has math calculations, I mean, after you fill certain values, it would add the number in the second page, autofill the rest ones and such. I works on a PC with no problem, but I've noticed it doesn't do any math calculations on my mac, it will fill everything, it just won't do the math.. The OS I'm using is 10.7.5, so I wasn't able to install Foxit reader and try with that, but as of now, haven't been able to find the answer anywhere else. I tried another mac just to make sure and it won't work on it either, I wasn't sure of the version that other mac had.

If I could get an answer, it'd be much appreciated, I know this forum hasn't had much activity lately, so hopefully there are others in my situation.

Thank you in advance.

First thing is to make sure that the Mac is actually using Adobe Reader to open the file. By default, Mac's use Mac Preview which more than likely will not work. Also, they could be opening it in a web browser which may not work either. It needs to be Reader.

I was using Adobe Reader, I also try the PDF preview that's installed by default on Mac and will be even worse, at least I can get the autofill to work with Adobe Reader.

Preview is no use to you. Be sure not to use any web browser or email app.
