Adobe Reader XI 11.0.10 installation hung on Big Sur

I upgraded my macbook pro OS to Big Sur, after this I started the installaiton of Adobe Reader 11.0.10  the isntallation has been running for few hour and not completing . I forced quit the installation and when I click on Shut Down the installer launches again and machine does not shut down. I have force quit the installer and tried Restart option but that also does not work. I have tried shutdown by long press of power button but each time the installer restart the momment shutdown/restart is attempted
