Question

Adobe recognises my certificate but ask for ID configuration when trying to sign a document

Hello, so when I want to sign my PDF digitally, Acrobat Reader says it can't find a digital ID.

However, the ID is in fact recognised by the software as it is listed in the digital ID list as you can see here (I cant screenshot personnal informations for obvious reasons).

It means I can't sign my PDF but I can't fix the issue either because my computer and the software both seem to recognise my card reader and the card it reads.

Hi @Simon29889869if36

Sorry to hear about your experience.

A similar issue for this known error has been discussed here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/setting-up-digital-signature-using-a-card-reader-and-military-common-access-card/m-p/10558757

Please refer to the troubleshooting steps suggested and let us know if that helps

Thanks,

As suggested, I deactivated enhanced security and protected mode at launch was already turned off from previous attempts at troubleshooting and I rebooted acrobat reader. The results are still exactly the same.

Sorry for the delay in response @Simon29889869if36

Is it possible to disconnect the Card reader and reconfigure it?

Quite an old discussion, but there are a couple of very helpful suggestions which has helped different users.

You must take a look: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-sdk-discussions/unable-to-sign-pdf-with-military-cac-smart-card/m-p/8412882#M496
