Adobe Request for Signatures

I send out a signature request to one party, they sign it. Then the document is locked. But we still need one more signature. This issue just started occurring. There was no issue before having both parties sign a document together. We can't find any check box to lock or unlock a document after the first signature is complete. This doesn't make sense.
