Question

Adobe stamp issue

Hello -

Adobe Acrobat Reader 11 - Version 11.0.08

I have a dozen users who are applying a dynamic stamp using keyboard shortcut "K" once initially setup. Process goes like this: open PDF doc > select dynamic stamp > save / exit > open new doc > press "K" (which inserts last used stamp) > save / exit.

I have a user in which this function does not work - simply pressing "K" does not insert the last used stamp...any idea why and where does adobe pull the last used stamp info from and/or is it defaulted somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

I know this is a really old question but, I came looking for the answer to this same question, even though I was dissapointed to not find a solution provided, the question gave me confidence that there must be an answer because others were successfully completing this task per the question. I decided to keep digging and with some trial and error I was able to uncover the solution. I hope the inquirer was able to get an answer before now,  but if not hopefully this will reach them. If not hopefully others can benefit. The solution is thankfully very easy. All you need to do is right-click on the stamp you want to quick-apply and select the "Make Current Properties Default" command. Then your short cut key "K" will pull that specific stamp to quick apply to your document. Very useful when you need to apply a bunch of check marks to a document! Hope it helps someone. Peace!

I am replying to my own post. There is one detail I left out. You need to left click on text free area of the document then press shortcut key "K". It works well.

On their computer open Reader and go to Edit - Preferences - General and make sure that "Use single-key accelerators to access tools" is ticked.

Thanks for the response - that feature is indeed clicked and enables the "K" shortcut key. The issue I'm having is when exiting a PDF doc, the next time I open a PDF doc and press "K", it does not insert the last used stamp.

No, it won't insert the stamp, it will only select the stamp tool.
