Adobe update removed my sound icon from computer's task bar
I have Windows 8.1. I updated my free version of Adobe Reader when prompted this morning. After doing so, I noticed that the sound icon in my computer's taskbar was gone. I right clicked on the taskbar, clicked Properties, Customize, and scrolled down to the sound icon listing. Instead of it being listed as sound, it is now listed as Adobe sound and it is muted. The behavior bar for that icon had show icon and notifications. I had to uninstall the adobe reader program. As soon as I did, the sound icon was back!! I tried to find an older version of the reader but it keeps directing me to the latest version. I am wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they found a work around so that they could keep the program. It has become a necessity for me and I can't use it!! Very frustrating.
