AdobeARMservice could not be stopped error

Each time i try to install a new version of Adobe Acrobat Reader i get the error message “Error 1921 Service Adobe Acrobat Update Service (AdobeARMservice) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services”.

I don’t see any service called AdobeARMservice in my Services to stop.

This is on my company windows 11 laptop and has been going on for about a year now hence i am stuck on version 2024.002.20895 and am constantly getting prompts to update that always fail.

I raised a ticket with my company it department 9 months ago but they haven’t been able to fix it.

How can i stop this error and update to the latest version please?

thanks...

I have a MSI log file. How do i attach it? Each time i try to upload it, it just says “AcrobatInstall.log:Something went wrong, please check your link and try again”

    Some of the suggestions-

msi stopservices action throw error - Google Search

I would not advise changing Installer database (.msi file).

Try to check again if Service is actually installed.

Can you please enable MSI verbose logging, collect MSI log from failed installation and upload it somewhere so I can take a look?
