After the latest update to Reader its very slow to open the app on terminal server

After the latest update to Reader the app is extremly slow to open. I have uninstalled/reinstalled that didnt make a difference. I have tried several tweeks to the program with no success. It opens slowly if its a terminal session or if I logon locally to the server it doesnt seem to matter. I have timed it and it takes 10 seconds to open when I click on Adobe Reader icon so Im not even clicking on a PDF just opening the app. Once the app is open I can open PDF's thru the app and it works fine. This is affecting all 7 of my terminal servers

Those settings made a big difference in performance, thank you. I had not had this issue in terminal server until the latest release was installed 2022.003.20282.. How can I make those preference adjustments for all users?

Hi @Mark27544272lttk

Thanks for reporting this to us.

It seems that there's an issue when running on the terminal server. Have you experienced the same behavior with the earlier version too?

Please share your current Acrobat Reader version. Open Acrobat> help> About Acrobat Reader.

Since it's causing delay at launch, try disabling its security setting once and check back.

Open Acrobat Reader>Navigate to Reader>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Startup" and "Enhanced Security">OK>Reboot Reader.

If this doesn't help, then once again uninstall and reinstall the app:

Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s files traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat Reader installer from here:

https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Thanks,

Akanchha
