All date fields in a document automatically updated when editing

I'm trying to fill in a document using Reader.

The document has several date fields that should contain different dates.

When I edit one field, they all automatically update to the same date.

I can't figure out how to turn this off.

You can't. The author of the form screwed up and gave all the fields the same name (they probably created one field and then copied and pasted it without testing it). Report this issue to them and ask for a new version.

try67 answer is correct. But if you can't go back to the creator, you might be able to use the commenting tools to type on top of the field or close to it as a workaround.

The best answer is that the fields have to have unique names as stated above.
