Question

Always save user customizations to Tools panel

This is what I would like to do. When I make changes to the tools I want in the right-hand Tools panel in Adobe Acrobat Pro I want those tools AND ONLY THOSE TOOLS to appear in the panel the next time I open the application. I am SICK. AND. TIRED. of constantly having to remove the tools I DO NOT WANT and add the tools I NEED. Is that really too much to ask? I would think it is GUI 101.

I am not talking about the Quick Tools panel which appears for me along the top of the document window. I am talking about the Tools panel which appears for me along the right-hand side of the window. I do have the latest update. I do not want to reset my preferences so that I can try to recreate them and encounter the exact same issue. If you have any useful suggestions please feel free to share them with all of us.

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well.

There are some default tools added in the Quick action toolbar, the option to remove these are not yet available. You can only remove the tools from the Quick action toolbar which you have added to it.

Acrobat does remember the tools were added to the Quick action toolbar, if it doesn't, make sure you have the recent version 24.02.2089x installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here (https://adobe.ly/4bDFg91)

Let us know how it goes.
