Question

app crashed, didn't get the opportunity to save notes, 300 notes deleted

It is honestly unimaginable to me that a CLOUD-BASED SERVICE, when crashed, does not by default save notes. I lost DAYS OF WORK. This product is not free. Therefore it should provide better data protection services or just stop offering pdf edits. Incredibly infuriating and just unbelievable. Shame.

Hi @Gea5EE6

Sorry that you lost important work. Could you please confirm if you are still facing the crash issue?
Would you mind sharing the version of the Acrobat Reader DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 21.07.20095 (Win) , 21.07.20096 (Mac) installed. Go to Help > Check for updates.

Sadly, there isn't much that can be done to recover the notes  from the PDF if it was not auto-saved. Open the PDF from Recent section/tab in Adobe Reader if the file is available in the list and check for the notes.

You may also navigate to C:\Users\,username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\DC and see if the temp file is available.

let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Ria
