APP-V Adobe Reader DC Internet Explorer Plugin

hi

we just sequenced adobe reader dc with app-v 5.1 and the documentation from adobe. works well so far. one problem is that the adobe plugin is not available in the internet explorer browser. so if an applicatation (for example sapgui) uses the internet explorer plugin from adobe reader for example to open a document within IE it does not recognise the plugin. it does it if sapgui is also started in the adobe reader package, but this is not wanted as there are a lot of side-effects.

any ideas how to handle this or will adobe work on a version where this works?

thx tom

Hi Tom,

Sorry for the delay in response. To help you better would you help us with the below information.

  • Are you using Windows 8.1 or win10 as the client machine?
  • And is the Enhanced Protected Mode of IE is turned on?

If Enhanced protected mode in IE is turned on, you may try to turn it off and then try reproducing the issue? This should resolve the issue. If it is not the case or the issue does not get resolved, Then I would request you to share the package and will try to reproduce and debug the issue in-house. How to share a document

Will be waiting for your response.
