Application Initalisation Error with latest release.

Dear All,

I am currently having an issue with installing Adobe Acrobat Reader to our laptop estate at the moment and that as soon as I pass UAC, it comes up with the "Application Initilisation Error" error message when attempting to download the application from the installer file.

I have had a look at the usual settings, like temporarily bypassing the Anti-Virus software.ect and that I have also moved the laptop to another OU in Active Directory.ect, alas, this is still not allowing installation.

I have also run the Adobe Creative Cloud cleanup tool in an effort to fix this, however, this has not worked as-intended.

I have managed to download the application to an "offnet laptop" which appears to be downloading.

Can you advise please if there is any settings in the infrastructure that could be causing this?

Hi @Charismatic_self8957,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble with installing Acrobat.

From the description, it appears that there may be a network block preventing the installation of Acrobat from the web.

Would you mind downloading the offline installer package for the application and then trying to install it again?

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Souvik.
