After creating a link to a document for public access, and it is uploaded into the Adobe cloud, how long will the link stay active?  Forever?  Until I delete it?

Until you delete it, or Adobe close down the service. Based on past experience, Adobe cloud storage is a long way from "forever". They have launched newer, more exciting or fashionable services, and simply closed down services and destroyed all files without efforts to migrate to a replacement.
