Arcobat Reader update 2023.006.20360 Windows10 unknown software error r {0xc06d007e}

Question

Hello,
after installing update 2023.006.20360, the error "RdrCEF.exe unknown software error {0xc06d007e}" only occurs under Windows10.
The only solution is to completely uninstall the program, clean the user directories local\Adobe, locallow\Adobe, roaming\Adobe and install the previous version.

do not help. Will this error be fixed in the next version?

You are using the Reader, not Acrobat DC. In the 64 bits version, I know that there is not much difference between the Reader and Acrobat DC. For the 32 bits version, I'm not sure.

What I would suggest is to uninstall Acrobat. Run AcroCleaner (AcroCleaner — Acrobat Desktop Tools and Utilities) and reinstall. That normally solves issues related to the installation and leftovers from previous versions.
