Auto installing chrome extension

I implore users to check their Chrome extensions as Adobe has been at it again with their auto install of their PDF reader Chrome extension. This happened back in 2017 much to the chagrin of many users and this motherf?cker of a company has started it again. A wireshark check shows the extension does track personal data.

Not only does Adobe Reader auto updates itself without asking, it now adds the Chrome extension during the update. Adobe, you piece of scum, I hope you rot in hell! I will continue to post these warning in as many places I can think of because the more people know about this scum company, the better.

@Man284719810arn Although Adobe does have automatic updates enabled by default, you absolutely can typically disable these updates YOURSELF! Within the Adobe Acrobat or Reader application, usually under the "Edit" menu, you should find a "Preferences" or "Settings" option. Look for a section related to "Updater" or "Updates" and you should be able to choose options like "Do not download or install updates automatically" or "Notify me before installing updates." Disabling this setting within the application itself should prevent the automatic installation of updates, including any bundled Chrome extensions. How simple was that?

Adobe are nasty pieces of work and that option had been removed from Adobe Reader many years ago. How crap is that? Once again Adobe shows why they are such a hated company (Google search "I hate Adobe" and you'll see the feeling is ubiquitous). Updates are FORCED! How crap is that? I have sinced switched to PDFGear and would recommend others do too.
