Auto populate Help?

Unfamiliar with adobe, I have a form with text entries about demographics(name, dob, etc.) How do I get my form to autopopulate the same text information when entered in one box to the rest of the form? I'm working from a mac which is also new for me, so I would appreciate any advice, or help. Thanks!

Give the fields the same name and they'll have the same value automatically.

in the field box itself? or is there somewhere else I am able to make that distinction?

Yes, in the field itself, under Properties - General - Name, or by right-clicking it and selecting Rename Field...
