Being forced to purchase Adobe Pro?

Why should I be forced to purchase Adobe Pro to edit my own resume? I did not like the new Adobe to start with. Now I must pay a monthly fee to do things my computer used to do for free. I am only on a personal computer not a business computer. This seems to be highway robbery to me.

    It was never free. I imagine you used to have a paid-for Acrobat installed. It might still be there, but installing the new Reader hid it. Check your installed apps.

    I was never asked to update to the new reader it showed up one morning.

    When speaking with a person form the United States why would you reply in what appears to be Russian? I am not sure what this says.
