Beware - I just installed Acrobat Reader DC and immediately had to clean up my machine of McAfee

Oct 2021, a new Reader install on a Windows 11 desktop. I expected a prompt in the installer for bloatware but there was none! However, it did tell me it was installing 'two' pieces of McAfee software.

 

Very uncomfortable with that practice! I think the community would agree.

    Mc Afee is optional, you should not check the box!

    It seems that in some locations (probably depending on the local laws) these boxes are checked by default and in others they're not... Pretty nefarious, in my opinion, but here we are.
