Billed monthly $21.99. Only have Adobe on my PC and use it rarely

I  think that I need Adobe to open some documents that I receive on my PC. I only need ADOBE for my PC, and I use it only a few times a month.

But it is expensive at $21.99 PER MONTH. Surely there is a cheaper rate?

Or, can I get by ithout using it at all?

I find it very difficult to change anything on the page - the only option seems to be t okeep paying. This is very expensive for me.

Adobe is a company, not an application. Assuming you're referring to PDF documents you can open them using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you want to be able to edit those files (other than fill in form fields, sign them or add comments to them) then yes, you'll need to pay for Adobe Acrobat or for a subscription to the online service Adobe PDF Pack.

Thank you for your answer. It was helpful to me.

I did not describe my problem very clearly.

Because I had not paid my last monthly payment, and was therefore "in debt” to  them,  the ADOBE automated system would not allow me to cancel via the Manage My Plan page. That is why I sought some wider help.

I now realise that all I require is the reader. By connecting via ADOBE with a live operator, after 20 minutes, I have now managed to cancel my monthly subscription.
