Can I relocate Adobe Reader installed in the default location?

My system is OS X, with Adobe Reader 11.0.23 installed. The name of the topic sums up my question. I'm asking because I have re-installed it having wipping it off beforehand: it rejected to save my document to Acrobat.com with the virus alert showing up (I knew there was NO chance of a virus since I worked with this PDF for a year and a half in Preview.app and in Adobe Reader without major distractions). I don't know what actions of mine or whatever events triggered this but only uninstalling and reinstalling (together with cleaning my system of every detectable trace of it) saved the day and now I am not getting the virus messages. I left it to sit in its default location. Could it be that these messages could be caused by the fact that the first time I installed AR I then moved it to other folder? If not would it hurt to relocate it?

Adobe always recommend the application should away be installed in the default location only. That might effect the application's performance and it would stop functioning later on which would not be supported.

As shared above, that you had to reinstall it as it had rejected to save your document to the Acrobat.com and was getting the virus alerts.

Hope you have gone through the helps document Using Adobe Export PDF for detailed description of how to activate Export PDF service.

Also, if this is a work computer then there is a possibility your company's security policy doesn't allow to use PDF services.

In this scenario, would recommend you to uninstall the application using the cleaner tool- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs  and wipe it completely.

And install it to the default location itself through- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions
