I am trying to review two documents side by side (i.e. scroll simultaneously through both documents) to verify and validate that both documents are the same. I currently have Acrobat Reader 2017, and I can't seem to find a button that does that function. Not sure if the software I am using does not have this feature, but I'd appreciate if someone can give me some directon. If it's not possible via Acrobat Reader 2017, then what program would allow me to do that? Thanks!

To be able to open two documents side-by-side you have to first disable the option to open them in tabs, which you can do by going to Edit (or the Reader menu on a Mac) - Preferences - General and tick off "Open documents as new tabs in the same window".

In order to scroll two documents in sync you need to use a script, like this (paid-for) one I've created:

Acrobat Reader can display two documents side by side.
