Can no longer highlight continuously after I've highlighed once

Question

Hi!

Lately when I select the highlighting tool, it just switches to the pan or select tool right after I've highlighted something. Usually I would double tap the highlighting tool so that I could highligt continuously. I can't seem to be able to double tap any more. Anyone know how to change this?

I've been having a hard time figuring out how to formulate my problem, so hopefully someone gets what trying to say.

Thank you for reaching out.

Please ensure that you select the pin icon to keep the tool selected for continuous use. Once you select the highlight tool, click on the pin tool below. In the screenshot below highlight tool and pin tool are selected.
