Can't export a pdf to XFDF - error "Pls open with Adobe Reader ver 7 or above"

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 as well as Adobe Acrobat Reader (continuous release) installed on my comp. In both apps, the pdf form appears to get immediately corrupted and gives the error indicated. I am opening a downloaded file within Acrobat. I am being told by the pdf form creator that I could use Adobe Acrobat Reader 2020 release. But when I try to look for a download for this, I just reach the standard Acrobat Reader download page and it says I already have the app installed. Apparently Adobe Acrobat Standard, Adobe Acrobat Reader (Continuous Release), Adobe Acrobat pro, Adobe Acrobat pro dc are not Adobe products that would help me but I need to have the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader.  Where do I find this??

@vidya_1103 this can be a bit confusing because Adobe has different versions of their Reader program. You have the "Continuous Release," which is the most common one and updates often. However, there's also a "perpetual licenses" which was a more stable, less frequently updated version, similar to your Acrobat Pro 2020. It's possible the form only works correctly with that specific "perpetual" 2020 version of Acrobat.

Since you already have Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 installed, that's actually on the same "perpetual licenses" (you owned that version outright). It then received only security updates and bug fixes for that specific version, but no new features. You could try if you haven't already, by opening the problematic PDF form specifically with your Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020. Right-click on the PDF file, choose "Open with," and then select "Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020" from the list. Even though it's the "Pro" version, because it's from the same 2020 generation, it might handle the form correctly where your "Continuous Release" Reader doesn't.

If that doesn't fix it, finding an older "2020 release" of Adobe Acrobat Reader to download can be quite difficult, as Adobe usually wants people to use the latest version. This is a link for Enterprise, maybe, it might work for your Reader? https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise
