Can't get highlight tool to work, I know this comes up but ....

I know this topic comes up a fair amount, and I've read through some of the responses but I'm still stuck.

I've tried using the highlight tool on a variety of PDF documents, even Adobe's own "welcome to document cloud" document, and the highlight tool does not work. These aren't images. It's text, so I know that's not the problem.

I can make notes, but the highlight does at work at all. No matter what I do, I can't seem to highlight the text. It worked fine for years. I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat DC (I'm also a creative cloud user) and downloaded a new version but still have the same problem.

Working on an iMac.

Thank you -

Pat

Hi All,

We are sorry for the delay in response to provide resolution.

Adobe Acrobat official update (19.010.20069) containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

Or refer to the official release note and install the latest one: DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

Let us know if this still doesn't resolve this issue.

Regards,

This only happens on my iMac. Not on my windows or tablet. So I know it's not the file.
