Can't open Acrobat reader

Despite re-downloading Acrobat reader, when I try to open files that have been downloaded I keep on getting the message ;message'

The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0 is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Having reinstalled the program as required, I am now getting the message'

"Faral error - Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL"

So what's the problem? And why did it start suddenly a couple of days ago?

THX for helping to solve it.

Hi Ravib,

We apologize for the delay in response.

When you try to install or launch an Adobe app, you get the following error. The missing dll api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is installed with a Windows update. To resolve this issue, download and install the Update for Universal C Runtime in Windows from Microsoft.https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/error_on_launch.html

For complete steps refer to the help article here: Error :api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing

Thanks,

Akanchha
