Can't open fillable forms in acrobat reader DC

I do have a lot of fillable forms, all created with Lifecycycle designer and acrobat 10.

These forms can't be opened with the new acobat reader DC.

Does anyone know a solution?

What do you mean by the program "halts"?

* There is a message and it has gone (what message)?

* When you choose Open the app stays on screen and its title changes to include "not responding"?

* A box appears but it is blank so you can do nothing?

* You can choose a file to open, but it never opens, the app stays on screen and title changes to include "not responding"?

* Something else (what?)

You described this as a problem with LiveCycle Designer forms. But are you actually able to open any PDF files at all in Reader DC?

In which step do you get this problem? During step 1 (starting from the START button)? Or step 2 (trying to open)? If it is step 2, do you get as far as choosing the file to open?

I get this in step 2, acrobat reader opens but when I try to open the file the program halts. So I can select the file to open.

In the preferences disable the entry "Show online storage when opening files".

Ok, please try my steps and let us know what happens. (Emphasis: DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK THE PDF TO OPEN IT).

Then nothing happens, I only see a turning cursor.

I don't get a result or an error

What happens when you open the forms?

I get a fatal error:

acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server.
