Can't open pdf files online which I have previously downloaded fine?

Hi,

I am trying to access pdf files on google scholar which I have accessed before for my uni assignments. A few weeks ago I had a similar issue where it wasn't letting me click to download the pdf. I updated my adobe acrobat reader and then it worked fine. But now I am trying to access the same files I already read and it only gives me the option to buy the pdf and I cannot export them either? I am fully updated with adobe so am confused as to why this isn't working and am under time pressure as I need to get this assignment completed.

Thank you

Is the message asking to buy the PDF or to buy the free Adobe Acrobat Reader?

If it is asking you to buy the PDF as you said, you need to contact the creator.

If you accessed and downloaded them before, they should still be on your computer. Did you look in your downloads folder?

    Can you open any PDFs?

Can you post a screenshot of the error message?
