Can't Open, Uninstall or clean Adobe Reader DC

When I attempt to open Adobe Reader DC I get the following message:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK

to close the application."

When I attempt to uninstall the application I get the same message.

When I attempt to run Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool I get the same message.

Please help.

Try downloading and running the Acrobat Cleaner tool found here: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Then download and reinstall Reader from here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution
