Can't save changes to an emailed PDF

All of a sudden, this past week, when I get an emailed PDF, and make changes, I can't save them. I've already disabled "Display in Read Mode by default" under Preferences/Internet. But it didn't fix it. Anyone know how to fix it?

What do you mean by "I can't save them", exactly? Is the Save icon not enabled? Is it enabled but doesn't work? Be more specific, please. Also, what's the exact version number of the application (You can find it out by going to Help - About Adobe Acrobat Reader), and what's your OS version?
