I downloaded a Birthday invitation that I bought from Etsy and I am unable to view the correct font for the editable parts of the invitation. When I view the document properties it shows the font name and its info. Here is how it looks.

CourierNew, Bold(Embedded)

     Type: TrueType

     Encoding: Ansi

Docktrin (I cannot see this font for the editable parts that uses this font)

     Type: TrueType

     Encoding: Ansi

     Actual font: Adobe serif mm

     Actual Font Type: Type 1.

What can I do to fix this? I am using a MacBook.

    Correct answer gkaiseril

It sounds like Reader is substituting fonts because the creator did not embed the fonts in the PDF when created.

Contact Etsy and/or the person you purchased the invitation from.
