can we get a windows program for acrobat reader?

lets face it acrobat reader is just not made for windows. at best it is a port for windows that has been updated since the 90's, like an onion with a lot.. lot of layers. there are even artifacts in adobe reader left over from that era in computing and reader still can not properly update a newly added printer to the system. you have to close the program and reboot/restart? the program. most offices use windows and not and apple or a macintosh, so why are we still useing a fancy windows wrapper? its been 30 years, can we get a propper program written on windows to function on windows from the ground up?

It's funny, because users of the Mac version say pretty much the same thing, in reverse.
