Cannot change Form Field: to "Invisible"

Acrobat Pro DC release current as of 1/26/2018
Form Field is greyed out when I edit a form. Orientation menu is also greyed out. Is this a known bug?

Just found in an unrelated thread that it's due to my opening the form as a signed form. Reverting to Acro form seemed to do the trick. Unintuitive, but there you go.
