Cannot delete PDF in a Word folder

I have PDFs stored in a Word folder. I'm in File Explorer right now trying to delete some old PDFs from a Word folder. Every time I right-click a PDF or a group of them, Word opens instead. I need to get rid of unneeded PDFs. How do I do that?

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with deleting files.

 

From the description, it seems that your device's mouse sensitivity is set to high, which results in your computer taking double clicks instead of the single right-click you intend to make.

Also, have you tried using the keyboard shortcut to delete the files?

Thanks for your reply. I gave up. My hope is that whatever glitch existed is gone.

Now I have another problem that I'll post about in a few minutes.
