Cannot e-mail

Default Mail application is showing as unknown. Have read a few other people with similar issue. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Twentytech,

     

    We're sorry for the trouble you had, what is the version of Adobe Reader installed? To identify, please take help from the article https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html

    Please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader DC version 19.012.20040 installed, check for any pending updates from the help menu in Adobe Reader>select check for updates. 

    Reboot the machine after updating Adobe Reader.

    Are you on a Mac or Windows machine and what is the version?

     

    Also, check for any pending updates for the Office application and install them along with all the mandatory and optional updates of the operating system. Reboot the machine after updating Office and the operating system.

    If possible, please repair the Office application setup and check.

     

    From the Adobe Reader preferences, Edit>Preferences>Email Account, you can set an email client.

    Thanks for reaching out. As described above, the default mail application is showing as unknown, correct?

     

    Could you please share some more information for a better understanding:

     

    • What is the workflow/steps you are doing to send email?
    • Are you getting any error message/code, please share the scrrenshot of the same?
    • What is the version of the application you are using? To check the version go to Help > Click, About Adobe Acrobat/Reader and share the screenshot.
