Cannot extract the embedded font xxx. Some characters may not display or print correctly

We have a PDF which gives this error on the latest Adobe PDF Reader (and the previous one) but it works fine on in browser viewers and any other PDF reader.

Tried all online tools and using Adobe Professional to check / compress the file but we still get the issue, not sure why.

We have checked and all objects present and everything seems to be in the right place but we still get the error.

The latest version of Adobe PDF reader DC, gives the error shortly after opening the file, whereas the previous version only gave the error when scrolling down and back up again.

It's likely that the PDF or the embedded font is faulty and Reader struggles with it more than other PDF viewers. As you have Acrobat Pro, you can use its Preflight plugin to analyse and possibly fix the PDF structure.
