When user opens a particular pdf, the above-mentioned error pops up. We are currently using Adobe Acrobat (64-bit), Version 25.001.21184. We are using the free version.

Is there a link to download the font ArialMT?

    Hello @kevin_hong1

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out. We’re sorry for the trouble you had.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: Version:  25.001.21184 Planned update. Feb 06, 2026. Check for any pending updates by navigating to Menu > Help> Check for Updates. Install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

This warning typically appears when the PDF references a font that Acrobat can’t access on your system (often because the font isn’t embedded in the PDF). When that happens, Acrobat substitutes a font, which can affect display/printing.

Install the official Acrobat Font Pack for your track/version, then restart Acrobat.

Please note that Adobe doesn’t provide a direct “download ArialMT” link. Adobe notes that fonts not available through Adobe Fonts must be obtained from the font vendor/foundry/authorised reseller and installed at the OS level; otherwise, Acrobat will continue to substitute.

You may also use the Preflight tool to fix the missing font issues: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/analyzing-documents-preflight-tool-acrobat.html

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Anand Sri.

The user has to open and close the pdf file a few times before it can open successfully with the error message.
