Cannot open pdf files in Reader

I have a new lenovo android tablet version 8.1. Installed acrobat reader but cannot download and open any pdf's. All that shows on screen is skowfile.asp.Is this an android problem or acrobat problem?

I have problems in opening pdf. The system reads pdf as being html and even if I download as being pdf and as being html, the files are inexistent. Please help me, because I have to write a pdf complaint against Zable with Financial Ombudsman.

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with using Acrobat Reader.

If you are still looking for a solution, this might help:

It looks like the default application to open PDF files on your computer has changed from Acrobat Reader to a web browser; thus the issue.

In this case, this is what you can follow basis the OS you are using on your computer:

For Windows: right-click the file > show more options > properties > change the application by clicking the button to the right of "Open With" > select Acrobat > Apply > OK.

For Mac: control-click the file > get info > check the bottom of the floating window > change the application to Acrobat Reader.

This will ensure that Acrobat is selected as the default application to open PDF files.

Let us know if this is not the case, and we can troubleshoot further.

the problem was thatt the file appeared as being .html, not pdf, and was impossible to download and see the pdf document on my computer. It is impossible to download the pdf file on my computer. What is the problem?
