Cannot print in color: Adobe Reader 2019.010.20098 on a Mac

I just downloaded Reader today to my Macbook and am trying to print in color.  So far I have tried:

• unchecking the box that says "print in grayscale"
• going to Advanced and checking every combination of boxes i can think of
• restarting my computer
• creating a brand new, trial document in case the original one was damaged in some way

I am able to print in color from Mac Preview without a problem.

Really hoping someone has a suggestion!
