Cannot print selected pages

I like to print select pages of my bank statement and credit card statement.   When I select either individual pages or a combination I get the message no pages selected to print.  I have downloaded the PDF with the same result.   I select the page I want to print and get the messages 1. Document cannot be printed. 2. There were no pages selected to print.  This has been going on several months and I am FED UP.    The only way I can do it is to make a screen copy and paste to a blank page and do the same for other pages.  I am using MacBook with Mojave 10.14.2.   I followed the instructions in a forum which were:

try the following: open Adobe Reader navigate to Edit menu -> Preferences

  • under Documents, change 'View documents in PDF/A mode' to Never
  • under Security (Enhanced), disable Protected Mode at startup

Click OK to confirm the changes, relaunch Reader & try to print.

I did the first, but not the second and the disable Protected Mode isn't there.

This has gotten past old.   I am beyond fed up.

In the past I could print just the transaction list of my bank statement. Now i cannot change the page numbers at all., it will only print the full statement.  It has pre-entered the full page list  1 - 9.  I cannot make any change in the box.

The pages of the statement are numbered page 1 of 9 to 9 of 9.

In the box where the page is displayed the pages are numbered 1 of 9 (1) to 9 of 9 (9).

This must have stopped working a year or two ago, I stopped printing it for about that time, now i need it again.

Unfortunately, you have to enter the page labels now, not their physical numbers.
